Seacoast

New Hampshires seacoast is officially 18 miles along the Atlantic Ocean- but the tidal rivers, Great Bay Estuary and Isle of Shoals add up to more than 238 miles of salt-water shoreline.  Visit historic Portsmouth for a lobster dinner overlooking the harbor, head out to Odiorne Point to find crabs and other critters in the tidal pools, bring a beach chair and a good book to fantastic beaches in Rye and Hampton, reflect on the many opportunities for education and diversity in the towns of Durham, Dover, Newmarket and other areas with a concentration of UNH students and professors.
